CPR classes? For babies

my baby is almost here and I do not know much about CPR. Would you ladies recommend an online class to be the same as if I took it in person? or would it be better I take one live?

Definitely take a live in-person class. It’s far better to practice on the actual CPR dummies because you have to push surprisingly hard to do effective chest compressions. Make sure the class you sign up for also does infant cpr.

Take the real class. I've seen some folks get gassed out doing CPR thinking it would be easy or get into a real situation where their child is the one who is in danger and the parents panic and forget what they should be doing.
You'll probably receive a BLS and CPR certification, but if you really wanna get good steps or a sort of routine to follow if you suspect you need to perform CPR or someone a good simple website is "emt-training.org/infants-and-children.php" it will give you a step by step procedure of what to do, the proper terms to use, how to recognize signs and stages of distress so you know how long you have to act. Even gets down to the differences in the physiological structure of an adult vs a child. This also helps if you call 911 and you know the exact information to relay so first responders can get on the problem as soon as they arrive on scene.
Other than that? Should be good. They're some neat devices on the internet that can also help save your kid's life like magic, but best to start with the basics. Good luck.

Right now most places are doing hybrid classes. You do the learning/educational portion online then you go and do a skills session in person to actually do cpr on the dummies
