4 year old still co-sleeping…

Tay

My daughter is almost 4 and we’re still struggling with getting her to sleep in her own room at night… I’m currently pregnant with #3 and our son who is almost 16 months puts himself to sleep in his crib during naps/bedtime. We’ve always struggled with my daughter bouncing back and forth between our bed and hers but as she is not as little as she was when I was pregnant last time and I’m getting more of a belly now. She wakes up all throughout the night kicking me and hogging up our bed. I’m wanting to put my foot down and get her to sleep in her own room. We have gotten her a sound machine with 2 night lights and everytime she goes in there to try to sleep she ends up crying and screaming that she doesn’t like her room, doesn’t like her bed, and she doesn’t want to be alone. I know we screwed up and made this co-dependency on sleeping with mommy and daddy but I’m trying to fix it… does anyone have any tips… if she even eventually falls asleep in her room which I have to lay in her bed and pat her until she falls asleep. She wakes up around 12-2 am and comes into our room crying. Hubby is to the point he feels we should just tell her it is what it is and to let her cry it out but it breaks my heart just thinking about doing that to her and I already told him I don’t want to do that. Any advice on this would be great!!
