So. Tired.

I write this at 3am on my 2nd waking of the night, which I’m 100% sure will be followed by another. Last month my baby (currently 7.5 months) was waking up 2-4x a night and I never really figured out why, but I felt like I gave him a much better schedule that worked for him and brought it down to 0-2 wakings.

This last week, he began waking up minimum 3x a night again and I’m at a loss of what to do. I can’t figure out how to help it or if it’s a phase but I’m only 4 days in and already so exhausted. I’m particularly scared because my ppd got really bad in the thick of all the sleep deprivation last month and I really don’t want to cause it to come back again.

Here are some new things that began this week that I think may be the cause:

- began swim lessons

- has started consistently getting on his hands and knees

- working on pulling himself up on his own

- began saying “dadadada”

Currently he’s taking 2-3 naps a day. 1 short 10-20 min (optional) nap in the morning, 1 long nap (1.5-2 hrs) in the middle of the day, and 1 short 10-20 min (optional) nap in the evening. Wake up time is anywhere from 7-8am and bedtime is anywhere from 7:30-8pm. (Tonight it was 9:30pm bc of the super bowl and he is still waking up a lot)

I drop or add the little naps as I see needed. Can anyone tell me if they’re going through the same?

My babe has a blip last week of waking several times a night for a few days that I believe to be related to his new separation anxiety. I found that being super consistent with our schedule and routines has helped him get back on track. They need to know what to expect.

I have to agree with that! I feel like nothing in the schedule has changed so I’ll try to keep it as similar as possible.

Our baby is waking every two hours and wants to either nurse or being rocked (most times if he is rocked and asleep, he will wake up crying again when we put him im his bed). The last time he woke up in his own bed in the morning was twooooo months ago. Twoooo. We are also so tired :((( just want all of us to sleep well and have bed time/waking be a positive experience :(( Is your baby hungry? Just comfort cuddling? Can you our them back to sleep without taking them out of the bed? I have no tips :((

Girl. I’m just so happy I’m not alone. I believe it’s comfort feeding, most of the time it feels like I’m just a pacifier. But sometimes he wakes up fully and wants to babble and play. I have no idea what’s going on I just wish he didn’t tease me so early on being a great sleeper lol. We’ll get through it, lots of coffee 😭
