Paternal age affects gender, maternal age does not.  The most common studies people refer to when making claims about daughters being two thirds more common in advanced maternal age was not accounting for paternal age.  Eg women over 35 are more likely to be with men over 35.
Studies that account for paternal age, eg men under 35 with women over 35, have shown no alteration to sex ratio.
Another factor to keep in mind is stress on the fetus in general.  We know this affects gender and advanced maternal age is often associated with increased risks of preeclampsia and preterm delivery.  
In a systemic review and multivariable analyses including all pregnancies, with adjustment for complications, there is still no association of maternal age with offspring sex.
