What are you thoughts on copper iuds?

I recently switched birth controls (pills) and have been super emotional so my doctor suggested that I think about getting a copper IUD. Just wondering what some of your experiences have been

It works for me. I had some cramps when I first got it and then some random sharper cramps throughout in the first six months or so. My periods also changed a bit but eventually went back to normal. I would recommend it. It’s ‘get it and forget it’ plus there aren’t any hormones.
