Would you be mad if your boyfriend put you on do not disturb

My boyfriend and I just recently started dating and he told me he was going to a friends party. I told have fun and be safe and call or text me when he gets home. Usually he’ll text me or call me through put the night but when I check my messages it showed that he had his do not disturb on and it was like that for hours. I don’t know if I should bring it up. I did ask him how it was and he said it was fun it was like a surprise birthday but I noticed he hesitated a bit in telling me. How would you guys feel about it. I need advice since despite being in my 20s this is my first actual relationship.
