Birth control knowledge

What is a good place to learn about birth control . I want to make certain I never have an unwanted pregnancy. How do I "know what I'm doing". I have read the basics of birth control pills/patches/condoms/rings , Etc. is there anything else I'm missing ? For some reason I think knowing the different methods is not enough.
