Waters Broke, no contractions

First time mum! My waters went in the early hours of this morning, no contractions before or after this. No other signs other than a small bloody show the previous morning. Went to maternity unit to be monitored and check that that’s definitely what it was. Confirmed water breakage, but sent home as no other signs of labour, baby happy and no signs of infection with instructions that labour should start within 12-24 hours.

It’s been 16 hours + now and I’ve not felt anything. Any one have any experience with broken waters and no contractions? I can’t find any positive birth stories like this!

(I am 40 weeks, and going in tomorrow morning to be induced as they don’t want me to go over 24 hours with broken waters and no labour). So also curious if anyone had an induction after this also and what that was like?
