Are you getting everything at the hospital regarding baby shots? Anything you’re pro vaccine or not and why?

I’ve done research of my own, but regarding vaccines it’s probably been the hardest research I have done. I have grown up having all my vaccines but the older I get the more I seem to learn and the more it seems to make me nervous. I’m always on edge and I always wonder if I’m making the right choices for my children.

Vitamin K and the eye gel. Not getting the hep b shot.

For everyone’s convenience and reference, these are the recommended vaccines within the first year of the baby’s life (at least in the US):
Hepatitis B (HepB)
Rotavirus (RV)
Diphtheria, Tetanus, acellular Pertussis (DTaP)
Haemophilus influenzae type B (Hib)
Pneumococcal conjugate (PCV13)
Inactivated Polio Virus (IPV)
Influenza (IIV4)
Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
Varicella (VAR)
Hepatitis A (HepA)

I’m still debating on whether to have her get the Hep B shots over with early, or wait until just before puberty, like I did, but she’ll also be getting the Guardasil vaccine for HPV around puberty age too (I missed out on that one for being too old for insurance to cover). All the other recommended vaccines she’s definitely getting on schedule.

Yes he will be getting the vitamin k shot and hepatitis b but will never get the HPV vaccine.
