How's your days with your almost 3 year old and a baby?

My daughter is 8 months old and I'm feeling so bay for my toddler. He needs so much stimulation, socializing, etc. And I feel like I'm not able to give him everything he needs. 😫 Just wondering what your guy's schedule looks like? How often do you get out, what stuff do you do, and how often are you doing educational activities with them? My daughter has been sick this week and is currently at a stage where she's needing a lot of my attention because she's crawling, exploring, standing up, going through separation anxiety, not sleeping well. So I feel like lately our days are at home just trying to get through the days! I don't mind, but I'm feeling bad for my little guy.

If your budget allows, I would send your toddler to daycare two or three days a week. It’s wonderful for everyone.

I am so glad you posted this. I have my almost 3 year old and a 4 month old and today my anxiety about my toddler is through the roof. We are always home, and he is in a tantrum phase. I can’t figure out if it’s because he isn’t getting the attention he needs, or if it is just normal behavior. I feel like I can’t do right for either child right now. I am struggling. Your post made me feel less alone, thank you.

So I will have a 3 year old tomorrow! But we also have a 7yo, 5.5yo, and 4 month old. Our schedule is get out as much as possible and eat when we’re hungry 🤣
We’re thriving and surviving but it’s all good. Riding scooters, walking to a nearby park, helping cook meals, getting sissy to read to her, and some iPad tome is what our day mostly consists of. She still naps once a day.

I have the almost 3yr old and a 4 month old. We started the toddler is half day(mornings) nursery school which has been an adjustment but he’s enjoying it. I also have a full time nanny who helps with him each afternoon so I am extremely lucky, but he still wants my attention mostly it’s still has it’s hard moments as I’m also the only one who can breastfeed baby and put the baby to sleep. I also am often solo parenting on weekends all day as my husband works A LOT. And we have no family or friends nearby. I couldn’t imagine being home with both kids every day alone - I think we’d have so much TV time and also a lot of walks in the stroller maybe and just time at the park with the baby in the carrier. 
I think it’s just a tough time with the toddlers right now - mine is also a little sick and just always wants mama for everything. It’s tough- it’ll get better 😂

I have a 7 1/2 month old and my almost 3 year old. With it being winter and everything I feel like I am all out of ideas on things to do to keep my toddler entertained. We go to story time at the library once a week, we try to go to grandmas once a week, sometimes we’ll set up play dates with friends. If it’s warmer outside we’ll go for a walk or I’ll let her ride her bike at the park. 
Some of the things we do at home are puzzles, play dough, coloring, I’ll make her a sensory bin sometimes, we’ll listen to Disney music and do dance parties etc. 
I don’t think you need to feel bad about not getting playing with them a lot because it’s good for kids to learn how to play independently, and honestly it’s good for them to be bored too. And if I’m honest, we do watch a lot of tv somedays haha. And I’m okay with it because sometimes you just have to do what you have to do to get through the day.

I have a 9 month old and we just started our 3 year old in a two days a week Parent's Day Out program. It's really helped!

I don't have a baby. Currently pregnant. Have zero energy.
So our days are mostly too much video time and a lot of tea parties 😂
We try to visit family when possible to get out and yesterday we had the neighbors over for a coffee with their kid around the same age.
It's okay to just get by. It'll get better with time 😊
