My 16 week update

So I got off work early yesterday to meet my mom and we went out to eat and went to my appt together. We pretty much zipped through the first part of it and then we get to the Dr giving me the Doppler and she can't find the heartbeat. So I get a little scared and she's really trying to find it so she lets me go on to sonogram and my mom is reassuring me that if it's anything like I was as a kid then it's gonna love to hide, especially when everybody is trying to find them. The sonogram nurse does her thing and we manage to find my little Peanut (the first sonogram picture they took, it looked like a little peanut inside the shell. My husband calls them Little Foot after the Land Before Time movie and bc they, of course, have little tiny feet.) Then the nurse asks us if we wanted to know the gender and we get excited and say yes so she starts moving the wand and looking around and we get to their legs and they're open but their hand is in the way. A little poking later they move and we find it's a boy, then I start laughing like a crazy person. He ain't had his parts for a week before he's already tryin to play with it. But regardless, I was happy to find that I'm having a healthy baby boy.
