Musical theater

After my liver started failing unexpectedly last year (I have lupus but haven't had organ involvement ever in 12 years since my diagnosis, it got resolved and repaired itself thankfully) we decided to live life at the fullest and booked a trip to NYC. Now its only 4 months away!

Ive only been to the east coast once and part of our plan is to watch as much Broadway and musical theater as we can. However, we've never branched out much from the popular ones (Wicked, Hairspray, Mama Mia, The Wiz, Hamilton, In the Heights, Hadestown, Into the Woods, Rent) does anyone have any suggestion of musicals to look into, both on Broadway and off?

Top 3 on our list that are playing when were there are: wicked, hadestown, and lion king.

All others were getting discounted same day tickets. But these we HAD to ensure we got a seat.

I believe my husbands favorite Elphaba will be performing when were there!

Also picture of my sleepy beagle to drag people in. He'll be happily staying in the house of someone we trust and getting pampered as heck.
