This isnt a proper question really. Everyone has different expenses. Some people have car payments, high mortgage, low mortgage,  rent in a city vs suburb etc and some dont pay any of these. We have lived off 35k a year but now we moved to a new city and need more to survive , and we make more now than we did. You need an expenses sheet.

Someone can make 100k in NC and be living pretty well, but make 100k in NY and struggling. 
It depends on where you are, what your bills are like, etc.

Almost 200k dollars sometimes more. But we have sooooo much liability. We pay workers and a lot of our extended family depend on us.
