So I got the mastitis. I didn’t really feel symptoms leading up to it until I caught a fever Wednesday night. I started taking antibiotics on Thursday afternoon. I’m starting to feel a bit better but still have the breast tenderness, slight fevers, chills.

My OB and pediatrician said it would be ok to continue breastfeeding my 3 mo. I’m an exclusive pumper & feel like I probably wasn’t draining my breast completely. However, she has started latching on better lately & can handle my strong let down better.

Wanted to know if there’s any mamas that had mastitis & continued breastfeeding, pumping, & freezing their milk like normal. Also, if taking the antibiotics make their supply go down or dry up?

Contemplating using the affected just breastmilk for milk baths etc…
