FET March 4th!
I officially have my transfer date, just one week from today! I start PIO on Sunday and I’m super anxious for that; any tips are more than welcome! My journey has been a wild one… we started TTC our first in June of 2018. We had a couple of early losses and met with an RE who did extensive workups on both my husband and me… nothing obviously wrong. Did a couple unsuccessful rounds of IUI followed by an egg retrieval that yielded no day 5 blasts. In February 2020, we did a second retrieval that gave us 4 genetically “normal” day 5 blasts. Covid hit around the time we were going to do our first FET, so that was postponed. On April Fool’s Day 2020, I found out I was miraculously naturally pregnant AND had Covid. I honestly thought I would lose the pregnancy since we’d had several losses up until that point. I made it through Covid (so terrifying as it was right at the beginning of the pandemic and my husband and I work at one of the first hotspot hospitals… it was like a war zone there and I was home alone, sick and scared, while he was putting in 80 hour weeks in the ICUs) AND my miracle pregnancy. My son is 14 months old and super healthy and happy. I am still in disbelief. But since he was born, my husband and I haven’t used any form of contraception. When I stopped nursing back in November, I became pregnant the following month, but lost the pregnancy at just under 6 weeks. I became pregnant again the following cycle and had another chemical. So we’re giving this FET a shot (no pun intended). I’m excited, but nervous and cautiously optimistic. This has been a cakewalk compared to the retrieval part though. Just wanted to share and sprinkle baby dust everyone else’s way too! And please send over your tips and tricks for PIO! 💕💕💕
