Is this wrong?

Question

Soooo I see a lot of moms asking what other babies schedules are like for feeding/sleeping, but I don’t have a schedule…is that weird? Wrong? I feed my baby when he’s hungry and put him to nap when he is sleepy. He normally falls asleep while nursing. I never keep track of what time we do what thing or how many bottles, nursing, diapers, naps he has 🤷🏼‍♀️

Absolutely not! It’s what works for you :) I have a set routine because I am a routine person & need it- And that’s what works for me. Keep doing what you’re doing if it works :)

I don’t have a schedule either! My kids go between my house, my parents house and my in laws house with me and hubby working full time. It’s too much to get everyone on the same schedule! Plus on the weekends, we sleep in which would throw the schedule off anyway. I just try to keep an eye on the clock to make sure it isn’t TOO long since her last nap cause she gets super cranky lol

Do what you think is best for you and your family. We have 7 kids so a schedule is vital in our house and family. I’ve always had my kids on schedules and has always worked for us.

Not wrong at all. With both babies I do what they want and they always end up making their own schedule 🤷‍♀️ works best for me bc we are always on the go.

My husband and I both work 12 hour night shifts on opposite days so we have absolutely no schedule. I turn up the baby monitor at night and my alarm clock is whenever one of the kids wakes up lol

We don’t have a set schedule and go by wake times and length of naps! He’s starting to set one for himself, but I won’t be giving him a set schedule until he’s on 2 naps a day

We definitely aren’t super strict either, we just go by mostly signals from my babe. It can be a little predictable though so that’s good and we usually go about 1 1/2hours-2 1/2 hours between naps, depending on him. Any longer and we kind of know he’s needing one so we work on getting him to sleep. Nighttime, there’s not much of a schedule but a time window we aim for

Its literally whatever works for you and your baby! When I went back to work I made a schedule for my son to be on and that's what's been working best for us. I know plenty of people who just went with the flow of things and didn't track anything bc that's what was best for them. Neither way is right or wrong

My son has a very loose schedule. It honestly all depends on how his night goes and what time he wakes in the morning… 🤷🏻‍♀️ And his naps are so unpredictable. Sometimes they’re 30 minutes and sometimes they’re 2 hours. I’ve tried so many times to keep him on a strict schedule and it just hasn’t worked out. But usually he’ll nap or be awake within the time frames I want. I just don’t say “oh he HAS to nap at 11 and be awake at 12:30 then nap again at 2:30, etc” (for example).

I do the same thing. Only have a set bedtime and bedtime routine.
