Can I request an HCG test?

I had a miscarriage 2 years ago and this is our first pregnancy since. 
I am so concerned about losing this one too. I want to ask for an HCG test, but don’t know how to go about it. The first OBGYN I called and requested said they don’t offer appointments until 12 weeks  😥. I am just so confused because I see other women talking about their HCG levels

My family doctor did an hcg test for me to confirm the pregnancy and then the Obgyn saw me at 8 weeks

I asked for one after my miscarriage and my ON said to drop by whenever to get it drawn. She then called the next day to ask if I wanted the 48 hr to see if it’s trending and I did.

Yes!! I was in a very similar situation with this pregnancy. I had healthy, first pregnancy in 2018, then early miscarriage in 2020. This time I was incredibly nervous, and messaged my doctor immediately. She wanted me to come in as soon as I could to do an HCG/progesterone blood draw, and that eased my worries a lot. It also helped because she got me in for an early ultrasound to make sure everything looked good. Best of luck to you and your rainbow baby!

Do you have a good GP? My dr gave me hcg test every week to see if it was going up as this is my 2nd pregnancy and I lost my first.
