Cold Sore

Hi if anyone can help me with this I’ll forever be grateful. Anyways I was diagnose with HSV1 orally recently , I never had any symptoms / outbreaks , so this caught me by surprise. My doctor just telling me about it without any type of explanation made it worse. I have a 18 months old baby , I’m scared to death I’ll pass it to her. Everywhere I read they said HSV1/ cold sore are pretty common. But what are some things I can / take to avoid my daughter from getting them. Also how can I avoid myself from spreading it to another place ( like my vagina ). And is it possible to still have sex like normal ? I have only had one partner, and we never used to protection because I’m on birth control & we only have sex with each other. These news have made my life sooo much depressing. Any advice is appreciated.🤍
