Is it safe???

My daughter is 1 month and some days old. I really want her to meet her other grandparents, but they live all the way in Vegas. Would it be a smart choice to take her, or wait until she gets her 2 month shots !?

Some airlines won't take a baby under eight weeks old. I personally would not do it, but if you do take extra precautions to make sure she does not catch a cold from anyone in the airport.

I am taking my daughter on a 2hr flight the day after Christmas and she'll be 2 days shy of a month old (a family emergency). American Airlines will take a baby after 2 days after birth with Drs paperwork and 7 days old and older as long as you call and put them on the flight. You don't have to buy a seat for them if they are under 2. They can sit in your lap. That's what we decided to do because I had to buy the tickets before she was born. My daughter's pediatrician said he had a new born fly at a week old. It's not recommended, but it's okay. Just keep them close and don't let anyone near them.
