Implantation or AF

I've been having cramping on and off 7 days before AF is scheduled. I'm also having hot flashes on and off today. Could this be implantation/ early sign of pregnancy or is this just AF letting me know earlier than normal that its on its way. I normally get cramping 2 days before AF but a week is unusual for me. Should I take a pregnancy test?
