Report card?

Since when does Head Start give out report cards? I don’t remember getting them when I went (of course this was almost 30 years ago lol)

My preschooler gets a report card quarterly but it’s not like “grades.” It’s more about social and emotional development as well as language skills and some basic skills like tracing, counting, recognizing shapes, etc.  it’s pretty much a “is your child progressing in the right direction toward kindergarten?” ☺️

My daycare gives a “report card” quarterly for both my 5yo in the preschool class and my 2yo in the toddler room. It’s not really about grades, it’s to let us know if they’re where they should be in a different number of areas. For example, following 2-part instructions is expected of my 5yo, and following 1-part instructions is expected to be burgeoning in my 2yo. There are a bunch of different areas they assess. My school also sends home a personal letter detailing areas of expertise my kids have and areas we can focus on next, and they do parent conferences that same week. I was a little wtf when I saw this happened on the school calendar but it’s actually not bad at all.
