10week old sleep
I’m a first time mom, so clueless. Feel like I’m forcing my baby to sleep.
So when she has sleep cues do I get straight into it to try and get her to sleep or will she just tell me when she wants to sleep. The only way I can get her to sleep is on the breast lately, which means if I go by her sleeping cues it’s about 30-40minutes after waking and she’ll always feed when she wakes. I feel like I never fill her up because she drops off and she’ll always open her mouth when I put her in the cradle hold position to sleep.
A friend said if a baby is tired they’ll sleep and I don’t need to worry but then if I search it babies shouldn’t be awake for another than 1.5hours max. Don’t know if I’m over thinking it or I’m doing the right thing by getting her to sleep. But it can be draining. If she’ll take my breast whenever in the cradle hold does that mean she’s associated that with sleep or she’s always hungry. She can get a bit cranky if left but always up for play time. Before now she fed every 2hours so that would normally send her to sleep eventually. I always thought babies just dropped to sleep
