Why does my boyfriend kiss me on the lips when I’m sleeping?

He loves you and wants to show affection. My bf did this. Only sometimes id catch him when im slightly woken up by it. He would give me a tender kiss on the forehead or pull me closer in our sleep

I used to kiss my husband on the lips in the morning before going to uni. Just a peck. But after a year he told me it woke him up and couldn’t go back to sleep😁 so I stopped. Maybe ask him why.
