Cloth baby wipe solutions: Do I NEED to include an oil?

I don't want to worry about coconut oil solidifying constantly in my cool house. Are there other recipes to use that don't involve an oil in the cloth wipe solution? Not sure what componants are needed, vs just being fancy.

I would be careful with essential oils or any oil on baby’s bottom and genitals as sometimes they can be harmful on skin & baby’s skin is sensitive to begin with. Plain water should work just fine but if you’re worried about cleanliness/bacteria you can always use a small amount mild soap like for bathing to make sure bottom is extra clean!

We just use water on our cloth wipes. You don’t need to add anything else. Liquid essential oils for smell are fine but not necessary.

You could use olive oil instead of coconut oil because it’s less drying, but no you don’t NEED to use any oil for wipes.
