Mucus plug coming out at 17 weeks pregnant?

Sorry I’m advance because this is so tmi! Im noticing a trend that about 24 hours after my husband and I have sex, I have this thick mucus/jelly like discharge come out. The consistency kind of reminds me of my mucus plug with my two previous pregnancies…
My midwife said she thinks it’s nothing to worry about, but that she’s will send me for a cervical length ultrasound to ease my nerves. 
Please tell me I’m not the only one experiencing this!!

This right here is completely normal it's mostly discharged more than it is your actual plug. Your plug will shed and continue to regenerate throughout your entire pregnancy. However if you do happen to get a very large bloody it's not like substance then you would need to be a little bit more worried but this is completely normal

This is just discharge. This isn’t your plug. Your plug is more jelly. It’s gelatinous.

When I lost my plug with my sons it was way more gelatinous. That looks like discharge that's been collecting for a bit and finally came out

The same exact thing happens to me after sex, it continues on to like 2 days after. Its been happening to me for the last 2 months or so

I mainly have watery discharge but sometimes I do have thick mucus discharge like this especially if I’m less hydrated. You would have to ask your midwife her opinion because I certainly can’t tell you for sure. If you are worried about anything definitely give the doctor a call.￼
