Husband was taking an estrogen blocker??

My DH was taking an estrogen blocker to help him build muscle faster while working out. Is there any chance that this could have affected his sperm count??

This is very interesting. My husband had low sperm count due to low testosterone. His reproductive urologist put him on 2 prescriptions that BLOCK estrogen production. This gives the signal to make more testosterone and then more sperm.  His count went from 2 mil to 48 mil. Balance is very important BUT maybe it wasn't as bad for baby making as you might think. Easiest way to see is to have a aperm analysis.

I'm not sure what it was called I threw it out once I found out what it did. I know he ordered it off bodybuilders.com and from what it said it blocked the release of estrogen so that his body could aquire more testosterone to build muscle a little faster... He's been taking it for almost a year and just stopped last week when I kinda made him lol

​We're having issues as my DH abused anabolic steroids (he likes weightlifting) and it's definitely had a negative effect on his sperm.
​
​After completely coming off them, the Doctor said it would take around 18 months for things to return to normal "down there".
​
​We are at about 18 months now, but DH isn't convinced things are working as they should still!!xx
