Contractions started, regularly, then stopped?

So this is from last night. I got up at 2 am to pee and the walk to and from my bathroom was so painful I was shaking when I laid back down. It eased up for a couple minutes, then this string of contractions came on for about an hour. Clear pain radiating from my spine around to my lower abdomen and it was absolutely not BH. I was shaky the whole time like I get in true labor. Has anyone had this and called their dr and they said anything useful? I almost called my SIL to come get the boys, but it just didn’t feel like time yet even though they were close. I’m glad I didn’t because she’s an hour and a half away.
