Anyone else deal with this?

I’m 19 and I finally got my first boyfriend. The first time we had sex he expressed that he’s had sex before with his ex girlfriend and I couldn’t help but feel sort of upset, knowing that he’s my first but I am not his. I know I shouldn’t be upset cause how could’ve he seen me coming, but I just can’t help it.  Any reassuring thoughts? Thanks. :)

i mean, you can’t be upset he had sex with someone before you. there’s just no point in dwelling on the past like that. he’s with you now. and chances are, you may have sex with other people in the future if you break up and if your new partner was mad about you having sex with someone else that wouldn’t be fair to you. hope that helps. i know it’s kind of rambley but there’s no super nice way to say suck it up, can’t change the past.

You just gotta accept everyone has a past and though it may make you feel a little insecure, it’s clear you are all he wants. All that matters is he’s yours now and he’s having sex with you and not giving his attention to anyone else. Just gotta look on the positive side of things and not the negative cause that’s how you cause unnecessary problems and insecurities

I promise you in a few years who someone has slept with in the past stops mattering. This guy most likely won't be the last person you'll sleep with either and you wouldn't want your future partner to judge you based on your past.
