Long but metformin question :)
I haven't officially been diagnosed with PCOS but it's what my dr is leaning towards. I have all the other symptoms of it, I just don't have any cysts on my ovaries. He started me on metformin about a month and a half ago and it's hasn't been bad at all. I haven't been sick on it, It's gotten my bowels regular (I use to be constipated for up to two weeks at a time) and I've noticed I'm so much nicer. I don't get mad as easy. Idk how to explain it. But the one thing that hasn't happened is I haven't started my period. On thanksgiving I noticed orangey/pink spotting and got so excited I was starting. Well the next day it was the same spotting. Barely anything and no need for a liner. Third day a lot less noticeable. I was losing hope that it wasnt my period but the fourth day I went to the bathroom and there was bright red blood on the toilet paper. But that was it. Completely went away. Now I still haven't had a complete one. My nipples are very sore but that's it. I don't know if that's my body preparing for a period or what? Normally it's my whole boob that hurts but it's just the nipples and for about a week. I was wondering if anyone else that started metformin has had a similar experience? Would you count that as a period? How long did it take you to adjust to the metformin? Thank you!!!
