Any ones baby have there shots yet ??

I am a first time mom and I'm so worried and dreading tomorrow :( my hito is having his shots done :( what should I expect ???

Shots are harder on us then our babies. Renember the benefits outweigh the risks. You are keeping your child healthy. The 2 month visit involves multiple vaccines usually given in 3 shots and 1 by mouth. They will give you vaccine information sheets. Babies can be fussier that night or get a low grade fever. Ask her PCP if you can give Tylenol at home for comfort and/or fever. Call your PCP if there is any irritation to the injection site (redness or swelling) or fever. It will be okay mama! It hurts us more than them! Remember it's what's best for them, really it is. What to expect depends on what shot they are getting. They should give you pamphlets on the vaccines that will let you know what to expect. Some shots cause a low fever and fussy baby because they feel yucky. Some don't have any side effects. Don't hesitate to ask the dr any questions you may have. That's what they are there for.

My LO gets his shots next month and I'm a little nervous due to the fever part. I've heard about babies getting fevers after having their shots, but our pediatrician explained to us how vaccinations have come a long way and have less ingredients in them. I'm sure our babies will be just fine. The shots will keep them healthy and build up their immune system. Might get a little crying and fussiness, but we should be use to that by now 😊

My daughter had her second hepatitis shot at her one month checkup and she only screamed for about 30 seconds. I scooped her up as soon as the bandaid was on and she calmed right down. She was a little sore and swollen for a couple days but no fever.

My son had his yesterday at 9:30 am. It is 3:00am now and he has not gotten a fever. He was fuzzy a couple of hours after and has been sleeping a lot more today. He got 3 injections and 1 vaccine by mouth. He cried a little with the first 2 injections but the last one made him cry a lot more and even yanked back. I breastfed him right after the nurse was done and he calmed down completely and he fell asleep for a few hours. I do believe I cried more than he did. Good luck with everything. I recommend that someone goes with you and take some tissues

I have a 7,8 and a 6 week old and with the older ones we always have them baby Tylenol 30 minutes before the appointment because they get a small fever and it helps with the muscle pain they might get.
