Glyburide or Insulin.?

Question

I have been prescribe glyburide 2.5mg. I can't control my BG fasting. It's easier to control it after meals. Has anyone taken these and any effects to the baby? Which would you prefer.? Anyone on insulin.? I been reading that insulin is safer than glyburide.

I'm having the same trouble. My after meal sugars are fine. They have me at 2000 mg metformin, but because I can't get my fasting numbers below 95 they added glyburide.  I feel it's too much medicine to give me seeing that it's just my fasting I can't get down. Then I forgot to ask if I continue the metformin and glyburide. I got mad at the doc cause he pratically accused me of cheating on my diet and my fasting is NOT in my control and I felt bad. All my other numbers are fine. So I'm frustrated as hell. Insulin for me however would be a last resort cause I can't administer the needle to myself and have no one to help me.
