How soon do you tell your toddler?

How early do you tell your toddler that you’re expecting? We haven’t even told immediate family yet since it’s so early.. I don’t want to tell our 3 year old she’s gonna be a big sister and then have to explain if little bean doesn’t stick.. but I do know how excited she will be and want to start preparing her as well!

I am having the same question because I have a 4 year old, but we have really tried not talking about it in front of him just in case. He would definitely slip to everyone, and we are waiting until the first scan to tell most people.

We just told our 2 year old this morning because he’s been really rough and jumping on me. He said it was a sister 😂 Time will tell I guess. Kids are weird. He told me their was a little tiny baby one day before I even took a test.

Our daughter is going to be 2 she isn’t going to understand but she’s smart enough to tell people I have a baby in my belly. So we won’t tell her until we’re ready to tell others probably around 14weeks.

I've never told any of my children until after the first scan at the earliest didn't even tell them with my 4th until my mum opened her mouth and told them 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️
