Can we talk about about progesterone prescription supplements?

I finally got a faint line, even darker today. Going to the office tomorrow to ‘confirm pregnancy’. I’m super cautious about my excitement, as I had a chemical pregnancy in January, and I’m only 11dpo. I read many women my age (42) need progesterone suppository supplements to help maintain the pregnancy.

I’ve been calling the office to ask if they can test my progesterone too, but no response yet. Did anyone take these supplements? When did you start? What was the criteria to necessitate them? TIA!
