Do/did you swaddle your baby?

I’m debating on getting rid of the swaddle for my baby since he seems he wants to suck his thumb/hands to self soothe. He won’t take a pacifier so maybe this will help? I’m scared of the Moro reflex waking him up though

Mine likes to suck on her fist so i just swaddle her with her hand out like this.

My first didn’t really like it and slept just fine without it. 
My second LOVES being swaddled. We use a Velcro swaddle and it’s great!

No with my first and yes with my second. They were complete different babies with different likes and needs.

I never really mastered swaddling. We used the velcro ones for nighttime, and didn’t swaddle much during the day.

Mine was only swaddled religiously the first week while in the NICU, was occasionally swaddled (or attempted swaddling) by my husband mostly until he was 6 weeks old. By then, he could almost roll over so swaddling was no longer safe, so at that point we stopped.
He’s breastfed, doesn’t take pacifiers, and will sleep either in his crib or our bed with us. He still had the Moro reflex until like 4 months old, but if it woke him up, he’d just fall right back asleep with little or no help.

Go with your gut. We swaddled our daughter (she didn’t love it at first) but I do feel like it helped with her sleeping

Neither of mine liked to be swaddled. My second sucks her thumb and she has always been a great sleeper bc she self soothes by sucking her thumb.
