6 week ultrasound??

Question

My doctor does the first ultrasound between 7-8 weeks. I was scheduled for Monday at 7 weeks on the dot, but the office had to cancel due to an error on their part. They offered to reschedule for tomorrow, but I’ll be 6 weeks 4 days. Should I wait until later next week? Im incredibly eager but afraid if we can’t hear the heartbeat yet that’ll give me more anxiety.

I personally would wait. There’s not a rush and there’s a better chance of seeing a heartbeat later. My docs wouldn’t see me before 8 weeks. While it felt like forever, it was probably better for my mental health in the long run. My second pregnancy, my first US was just past 9 weeks even. Plus seeing a heartbeat later also meant a better chance baby was going to stick around afterwards!

Just go!  As long as you see something you’ll be good, just prepare not to see much so you don’t get worried. 
My first ultrasound is Monday & I’ll be 6 weeks exactly as well.

We heard my son's I think right at about 6 weeks. Maybe like 6w2d and we heard it! It was moved up so my husband could be present before he deployed
