It is a thing, and I used to never be able to do it. I couldn’t even brush my tongue too far back without gagging. And for a long ass time I could barely give oral without gagging 10 seconds in, but I start off slow and focus on my breathing while doing it. Having relaxed breathing and starting off slow can really help, it took me a while but now I can do it. Gagging still happens at times don’t get me wrong but I’ve gotten way better

If you really focus on relaxing while giving head, and imagine opening your throat as you go down. If you make the motion like you are swallowing it’ll open up your throat and that is when I can go the deepest. It still triggers my gag reflex but not enough to make me stop. It’ll actually create a lot of saliva and he will probably love it. 
If you are nervous or aren’t in the mood it isn’t as easy. Just try relaxing and enjoying giving him head. Hope this helps.

The thing that no one really talks about when giving head is that guys like it sloppy. So if your gagging and convulsing on their sick, they like it. It makes it more enjoyable for them.
