General Question for period cramps

So I started my period this morning, started off with light cramps and light blood , no clots, but now I’m still lightly bleeding, no clots and painful PAINFUL cramps ! I usually clot during a period whether it’s a light or heavy period. If I have a heavy period (will be painful and heavy day one, it’s clotting and I’m on my butt for the day, but if I have a light period I have hardly any cramps… I’m still believing this is my period but I’m so confused ! Has anyone had this happen?
