Mucus Plug vs Vaginal discharge

Hi everyone,

Wondering if anyone can tell me the difference between the mucus plus and vaginal discharge?

I have been getting vaginal discharge all throughout my pregnancy, no infections etc. just normal discharge. Which of course, kept increasing as the weeks went by.

However, when I checked the pictures of some of you and you mention it’s the mucus plug, I get a little confused and my vaginal discharge looks kind of like that.

Is there a way to differentiate? I do not want to miss any potential signs.
