What baby clothes do I need?

Been buying a bunch from thrift stores but I still feel like he doesn’t have enough. This is what I have so far. He’s going to be born in August so it’ll be warm through the end of September usually.
Oh and he has some pants too, just didn’t count those.

I would wait to buy too much of anything until it gets closer to the end and you know a better estimate of baby’s weight. We bought a bunch of premie clothes because our son was soo little when he was born. Turns out she’s already estimating to be over 5 lbs at 34 weeks

I wouldn’t buy too many newborn. I had a TON and my daughter came out 9lbs. Which was very shocking because both my husband and I aren’t big people😅 my daughter didn’t even fit in newborn. Currently 29 weeks with baby boy and haven’t bought a single thing in newborn. Only 0-3 and bigger. You can always go back and buy more newborn if needed.

Way more footie PJs. I feel like you should have at least 8 pairs of those in each size when they’re in the newborn stage. You’ll wear them more than you think, just get light cotton/bamboo ones. 
Also, do get some some newborn sized clothes. Unless you have like a 9lbs baby you will use them for at least a few weeks. My daughter was in newborn for 2 months.

I would get a lot more long sleeve pajamas for all 3 sizes (Newborn, 0-3 and 3-6). It was easier to keep a newborn in them than changing their outfits. Somehow my son didn’t dirty his pajamas, just outfits 😂
The rule to dress is one layer more than you. So if you’re in shorts and a tshirt, put them in pants, tshirt and maybe bring a jacket or just put them in long sleeves. I’d also avoid buying too many smaller clothes only because you don’t know how fast baby will grow. My son was in NB for 10 weeks (born at 37 weeks) and he barely got into 18 months by 18 months old. So he’s a little behind in clothes. A baby I know that’s like 11 days older? He’s 19 months old and in 3T.

If your baby is small get a good amount of newborn , 0-3 -  have a good amount also!! Burlington have a lot of baby stuff for low prices depending on what you get.

Also, newborns and young infants have to wear double the layers that an adult would. So I would add a lot more sleep/play jammy type of outfits in there even though baby will come in August. Everyone has told me that most babies live in those for the first couple of months.

Newborn and 0-3 months are different sizes. Just so you know. I had to do more shopping because I found out that likely my baby won’t fit newborn clothes. So just keep that in mind when you calculate the amount of clothes you have.
