Sorry if this is a repeat post or not allowed but I’m new to cloth diapering. (We’re first time parents). We have Alva diapers and there is an insert that goes in the diaper pocket. Is this all that’s needed? We also have these prefolded diaper cloths (like a trifold cloth that is thicker in the middle section). We put the prefold on our LO with the diaper fastener and then the Alva diaper over with the insert in it. It looks so big! I think I’m doing it wrong. So I tried without the prefold and I just put the Alva diaper on her with the insert in the pocket and a bamboo liner in the diaper. It looks a lot more comfortable and less bulky but she pees so frequently because she’s a frequent eater. How long do you wait to change them? I changed her right away. I’ve only been trying the cloth diapers sometimes, usually after she poops so I know she won’t poop in one and stain it. She’s 5 months old of that matters in this situation.
