Was sex with your SO different in a good way or bad after having a baby?

So this may sound weird but I felt like I was giving my husband a piece of me I never had. I didn’t know if it’d hurt or if I was ready for it. It was my decision and I feel like I’ve never had the opportunity to say no and let it be my choice. I lost my virginity by rape so after I always felt if I just put out I wouldn’t have it happen again under the mans control. Even with my SO I practiced this habit, he doesn’t know even now and probably just thinks I put out quick. But tonight was different because I finally got to say yes and have no as an option. Quite honestly it was life changing and healing. So maybe I just need to vent but was also curious, was sex for you guys after having a baby life changing or is that just me with my history?
