Newborn Mucous in Stool
Hi, my baby is 9 days old.
He is breastfed- I had a c section and have been taking ibuprofen and colace.
His poop is the normal yellow orange color, seedy and smells sweet. But I noticed some mucous today.
The doctors office is closed today so I’m trying to calm my nerves until tomorrow morning when they’re open- this isn’t an emergency so I’m posting here.
I read it can be normal for breastfeeding babies if they’re not getting enough hind milk.
