How did you know when you baby was ready for the transition?

We’re debating when to transition our to daughter to a “big girl” bed. She shows interest only when we’re at play dates with her friend with actual beds, she like to sit on the bed. But when we ask she never show interest.

She started going through a sleep regression when she turned 2. It’s like a fight to get her to sleep in the crib. Before she’s been sleeping in her crib no problem since she was 1. I want to transition her to see how she’ll take the bed, but hubby thinks it’ll give her more access to leave her bed in the middle of the night and come to our room.

Was the transition hard? Do they actually stay in their bed?
