Weaning at Night

My 17 month old doesn’t nurse during the day, only for bedtime and at night. I want to wean her and am trying to at night but the only way it seems to work is if I do light cry it out. She’s been getting up at 10, 12, 2, and 4 and I’m over it. She’s old enough to not need to nurse this much at night. Tonight I’ve let her fuss instead of going to get her. She wakes every 30-45 minutes and fusses (doesn’t cry hard) for 2 mins and goes back to sleep. Is this normal? Is there another way?? If I go in she HAS to nurse and just cries harder if I try to tell her no. It’s almost less traumatic to just let her cry a little and go back to sleep. I just don’t know what I’m doing...
