Potty Training?!

Am I doing it right? Lol

I've read so many SO different methods for potty training. Today is our first day and we are staying home all day. We tried to change into underwear this morning but he decided he'd rather be naked. So he's been peeing just fine which is awesome! But he pooped on the floor, almost like he didn't realize he was pooping? I asked if he felt it when he pooped and he said yes. He'll be 3 next month and I'm pretty sure he knows when he poops but he's been in pampers since he was born so he's never really felt himself be wet if that makes sense.

How can I help him out with poops?
