my 2 year old son just started daycare 3 weeks ago and ge cries most of the day and he doesn't play with kids, this weeks has been tough since monday every day after he comes homes he is very cranky he has a tantrum over every little thing, i try to talk to him but he just doesn't get it ands keeps crying. im 20 weeks pregnant and its driving me crazy.. is this a normal behavior to have tantrum for everything? i feel like i cant take this anymore

What does the staff say?
It's a tough transition for some children and I think having an open dialogue with the staff is very helpful.
But water, food and sleep may be the quickest fix.
You can try providing a small snack/fruit/veggie and a sippy of water when you pick up from nursery. I find this presents a lot of afternoon tantrums.
I believe it must be exhausting for corona toddlers to suddenly be around so many new children and faces, new environment and new food. It's a lot to take in! Not to mention napping in the same room as other children. Maybe try an earlier bedtime as well?
