Does anyone take this?? I'm currently on Buspar for anxiety but would like to stop taking it completely.

I completely agree with E on this. This supplement can interact with your current medications so always have prior approval from your Dr and be safe. I would also add, tell your doctor you can't afford your medication, they can help you figure out what to do to stay on them. For a while I didn't have insurance and my doctors helped me get in touch with their insurance people and I was approved on the spot for a couple programs they had and didn't pay anything for meds, visits, testing, transportation etc and I never had to pay anything back. It never hurts to ask especially since your medication is working

Do not take St. John’s Wort while on any medication for depression or anxiety.  
If you want to safely make a switch, please speak with your doctor and pharmacist.  You can also find a registered herbalist in your area - they will help you transition if your doctor gives the ok in transitioning (ethical herbalists will never recommend coming off medication prescribed by a doctor, but if your doctor approves a transition a herbalist can help you do this safely).

I haven’t tried it. But I use Natures Bounty stress comfort. I get from Walmart and it really helps with my anxiety. I’ll also pair it with Benadryl if my anxiety is too bad. (Just 1 Benadryl pill)
I’m not for the anxiety meds that doctors gives out because you have to ween yourself off of them. I like medications I can stop anytime. The anxiety pill doctor gave me was pretty much just Benadryl in a different form. ( it was only non addictive one he offered) so I just save money and buy off brand Benadryl and it works the same.

I took St. John’s Wort & had the worst experience of my life. It caused me to be off work for a month. It made me feel completely depressed & like all the happiness had been sucked out of my life. It caused the most horrendous panic attacks. I wouldn’t recommend

Consult doctor before. Or do a “patch test”. Notice any changes within the days you’re taking it and then stop and see if there is difference. Probably you shouldn’t take supplements more than a few weeks to months anyway, so it’s about finding balance.

My husband uses St. John's Wart occasionally. Not this brand but there's a dried tea version here. It's very effective for him.
