Stupid question but do you wear short or long sleeve shirt with suit?

My fiancé never had to wear one so for our wedding he’s trying to figure out if it’s best to wear a shirt or long sleeve white button down shirt. His suit is a jacket, vest, pants. Or does it even matter?

It's usually a long sleeve dress shirt but you can go short sleeve. I just find white short sleeve dress shirts looks like the wait staff attire and not grooms attire. It is preference though! I've seen both

I'd say long sleeve is dressier and more standard with a suit. I've never seen someone wear short sleeves with a suit.

Always a long sleeve, because if he takes off his jacket, he’s gonna look awkward with a short sleeve shirt underneath it it’s like wearing a tuxedo with a T-shirt. Just doesn’t look right.
