Crib bumper pads? Are they safe for Newborns?

Thoughts? Are they safe to use? Any mommys use these baby crib bumper pads? We're yiur baby ok
This is the set I'm getting for my baby but I'm told I shouldn't use bumper pads. 🤔 what you ladies think?

No they aren’t safe. Even the mesh breathable ones aren’t safe

10 years ago when I had my son everyone I know had crib bumper pads. For a newborn it wasn't necessary but once the baby starts sitting up and rolling it was necessary due to the fact that the baby can hit its head on the wood of the crib. Now everyone's saying it's not safe. I think you should pick your own judgment on the product and not go off with everyone else tells you.

By oficcial suggestions, not safe.
But pointless also. A term bumper tells that is should soften some blows or something. Well a newborn doesn't move much how can he even accidentally bump himself in crib?

The American Academy of pediatrics says they are not safe. That is the recommendation now so I would not get them

No they are not safe. I didn’t use mine until my son was over a year old because his arm kept getting stuck in the bars of his crib. I would not use until over a year old if not older

I got bumpers for mine before I knew any better. They made the nursery super cute while baby was in bassinet for the first long time anyway. Then I moved them off of crib. Mostly just decor before baby slept in it.
