How to help an early waking toddler sleep?
My son is 2.5, he has always had a harder time sleeping until a reasonable hour, (usually wakes around 6/630) but ever since I had to transition him to toddler bed he is waking around 530/545 consistently and just not getting enough sleep. He usually takes 1-2hour nap in the day also and goes down around 8/815. I’m kind of at a loss and having a hard time not getting my first quiet moments that I fight for each morning to get in the Bible and have my coffee before my boys are up. Anyone have any tips for this? Kiddo is wide awake at this time and doesn’t seem he will go back down. If I try to have him stay on his bed he will unplug the sound machine and wake his brother
Editing to add, their bed time routine starts at 7, he usually falls asleep at around 8/815 and I can’t start the routine any earlier as I do not get home from work until 530/6 and the earliest we can eat is 630 and I am a single mom so have no help. Also adding he won’t take toys to bed or lay in bed playing quietly. Our sound machine does turn to a morning/ok to wake setting at 7am.
